The Concept

A Bold Concept
Webcor has completed a modern and dynamic renovation of its office headquarters, located at 207 King Street in San Francisco.
The new office space spans 18,000 square feet and combines a variety of elements that showcase Webcor’s expertise as a builder. With state-of-the-art accommodations and innovative green features, the new office space caters to the distinct needs of employees while reflecting Webcor’s unique culture.
The open yet traditional design inspires collaboration, while granting employees the opportunity to move into small private spaces and meeting rooms when needed. The office provides a shower room to cater to employees who commute to work by bicycle or exercise during breaks, a nursing room for new mothers, as well as a wellness room for respite and rejuvenation throughout the day.
Visitors to Webcor are greeted at a reception area that includes a unique double-curved ceiling, a display of the company’s expert craftsmanship. The reception desk itself was custom-made by Webcor’s Interior Construction Group (ICG), one of three self-performed divisions the company operates.
Moving inside the office, visitors will see unobstructed views of the ceiling, including pipes and other materials, offering visitors a glimpse into Webcor’s detailed Tenant Improvement (TI) effort. They will also be struck by the explosions of green throughout the office, including custom made living walls and multi-level rebar planters. A feature wall offers an interactive look at Webcor’s history and operations. The break room is inviting, sunny, and versatile – equipped for hosting large group meetings and corporate events. Additionally, conference rooms are spacious and modern – boasting the latest interactive technology.
There is also much that visitors won’t notice, such as the sustainably sourced wood flooring; the recycled materials used in the ceilings, carpeting, and elsewhere; the use of materials designed to optimize air quality; and lighting that minimizes disruptions to employees’ natural circadian rhythms. The construction process employed leading-edge technologies, including an automated device that sprayed the drywall coating.
